As Video Lead, you’ll own video across strategy, scripting, shooting and editing - creating legal AI content that actually cuts through. Not legalese. Not fluff. Just great storytelling, fast production, and measurable impact.
 

This is what you’ll be doing

This is a hands-on, full-stack content role - from idea to edit. You’ll be encouraged to use AI tools like Runway, Descript, Sora or ElevenLabs to help you build a high-output, production flow.

As the Video Lead at Genie AI you’ll get the chance to immerse yourself within the world of law, legal contracts and AI at a fast paced and autonomous start up.

We’re big enough to genuinely disrupt the legal industry, and small enough that you can make a massive impact.

• Script, shoot and edit short-form video for social channels weekly (20+ mins)

• Produce long-form content (webinars, tutorials, thought leadership – 1.5+ hrs weekly)

• Build repeatable workflows with AI tools (Runway, Sora, Descript, ElevenLabs)

• Create a content engine mapped to legal AI use cases & growth goals (4-8 hrs recorded each week with subject matter experts)

• Collaborate with marketing, growth & product to drive views → clicks → users

• Track performance metrics and use data to improve every edit

• Establish Genie’s visual tone - not just pretty, but predictable in its impact

• Step in and be the face of the video if you can’t get someone else in time

This is how we’ll set you up for success and the outcomes we expect from you

Over your first 120 days you can expect us to help point you in the right direction to set you up for success. During the interview process we can talk you through a high level overview of your 120 day plan. 

By the end of your first four months we expect you to be:

Month 1:

🎯 Launch a test batch of product videos targeting a 3% view-to-signup rate
🎯 Test content with Lyssna
🎯 Map 30+ product use cases to video scripts
🎯 Own your backlog of growth experiments

Month 2:

🎯 Hit consistent output targets (20 mins short form, 1.5 hrs long form)
🎯 Establish Genie on YouTube for top 5 legal AI search terms

Month 4:

🎯 Rank in YouTube’s top 5 for 15 use cases
🎯 2x growth in subscribers over top 3 competitors
🎯 Scale what’s working and keep experimenting

We are a start up in an exceptionally dynamic stage of our growth. We are a customer and employee led organisation. What this means is that we adapt to our customers' needs, and the problems we’re solving today could be very different in six months, or even by the end of this recruitment process. We also listen to our team as we empower you to have full autonomy of your role - you're the expert. You should expect to work with us on how your role develops, grows and changes throughout your time at Genie.

It can be tough here because:

• We don’t structure your work for you. We give you the what and you come up with the how (In other words, we’ll guide you on which outcomes matter — you’ll decide how best to get there)

• We don’t try to get things perfect the first time. We get things to ‘good enough’, and then we continuously iterate

• This is an end to end role and we want somebody skilled enough to script, produce edit and publish.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years+ experience and demonstrate the following:

• Full-stack video experience (pre-to-post)
• Fluent in visual storytelling, editing, colour, sound
• Pro with AI tools (or obsessed with learning fast)
• Comfortable with Sony A7C rigs or iPhones on a tripod
• Can manage stakeholders, chase feedback, hit publish
• Flexibility to travel across London - and occasionally internationally - to attend shoot locations
• A proactive mindset and a strong willingness to learn and grow

This is a role for someone who believes clarity is a creative superpower.
